Ashland Bike Fest

Join us for a celebration of ALL bikes and ALL cyclists.  This full weekend of fun includes the NYC-based Bicycle Film Festival, Spring Fling Super D and youth Gromduro races, the family friendly Ashland AlleyCat as well as free social rides, block parties, live music, food trucks and more!

Come join the Ashland Alleycat. A scavenger hunt style race on bikes for community members and bikes of all types! Happening on May 16 2026, at Railroad Park. This year is special as we are teaming up with the Ashland Bike Festival, including the A St block party, from 12-5pm, just down the street from the alleycat! Participants will have the opportunity to solve clues, ride the race, and complete challenges and collect tokens along the way for a chance to win glory and fabulous prizes! There will be competitive and non-competitive awards available to win… but we’re all winners when we’re having a good time.

For this years event, there will be 2 tiers of races:
Kitten: ~5 miles – geared towards kiddos and families
Bobcat: ~10-15 Miles – geared towards young adults and adults who like to bike

Schedule:
10:00 (not sharp) – Arrival, Registration, Get Clues
11:00 (sharp!) – Race Begin!
2:00 – Lunch and Awards Ceremony

Your suggested donation of $10 – 20 per rider helps fund the meal and the expenses to use the city park.

Please come prepared to spend 3 hours on your bike, over the course length of your choosing (see above) BRING A HELMET! You won’t be allowed to ride without a helmet. If you don’t have a helmet please ask a friend or email the event coordinators to help you find one. Also bring water, snacks, sunscreen, etc., all the fun things you need for a day out on the town with your bike and your friends. Swimwear may be encouraged for an optional challenge at one of the checkpoints.

Saturday at 10AM is the Super D race in the Ashland watershed. The Super D is one long timed stage race from Top to Bottom of parts of our trail system here in Ashland, OR. It will combine trails such as Missing Links, Marty’s (No Jump Line or Big Rock garden) Caterpillar, Lizard and Jabberwocky. The Start could be as High as the lower Bull Gap trail, but snow melt will determine the actual start and that will be marked by the Friday before the race. We will announce the start at Packet Pickup on Friday the 15th.

Sunday is the 1st race in the Coast to Cascade Gromduro race series, open to youth riders, ages 8-18. This race will feature some of the most well-known mountain bike trails in the watershed, such as Lizard, Jabberwocky and BTI. Ashland DEVO will be sponsoring the world’s coolest Aid and Cheer Station for parents and friends at the bottom of Lizard. Expect bumpin’ beats, lots of cowbell and some great spectating from 11AM-1PM.

Bicycle Film Festival

NYC based Bicycle Film Festival is coming to Ashland, OR on May 16 at Varsity Theatre in Ashland.

Take a journey around the globe! The films appeal to a wide audience from film connoisseurs to avid cyclists and everyone in between. It’s Bicycle Film Festival’s 26th year celebrating bicycles through art, film, and music. BFF has spanned the world to an audience of one million people in over 100 cities worldwide – and Ashland, Oregon. Let’s celebrate! Bikes Rock!

BFF Ashland is hosted by Ashland Devo. All proceeds go to support youth mountain biking programs for DEVO. Bike Valet Parking will be provided in front of the theater by Piccadilly Cycles.
