We’re growing the sisterhood and providing a fun and safe place for women and young adult (YA) girls to RIDE BIKES! We’re rolling out WOMBAT with several beginner and intermediate skills and trail riding clinics for women and YA girls throughout the spring. Clinic Descriptions

Beginner 1 MTB Skills Clinic

This 2 hour skills clinic is designed for women and YA girls (13+) new to mountain biking and coached by certified women instructors, including a BICP 1 coach. We will go over the 3 essentials and practice the basics to prepare for fun on the trails. The clinic will have an emphasis on confidence building and challenge by choice.

Beginner 1 Trail Riding Clinic

This 3 hour beginner trail riding clinic is designed for women new to mountain biking ready to get out on the trails. This class will focus on riding easy single track and practicing the fundamental skills needed to be safe and have fun. The class will be taught by a BICP-certified woman instructor.
This clinic emphasizes confidence building and challenge by choice.

Beginner 2 Trail Riding Clinic

This 3 hour Beginner 2 Trail Riding Clinic is designed for women new to mountain biking ready to get out on the trails. The class will be taught by a BICP-certified woman instructor.

Riders in this clinic have an introduction to riding on beginner trails. This group will encounter common technical features on the ride and may session to practice challenges.

Intermediate 1 Trail Riding Clinic

This 3 hour trail riding clinic will focus on intermediate trail riding skills. The class will be taught by a BICP-certified woman instructor. Riders in this clinic should have foundational skills and the ability to ride lower Ashland watershed trails like Lizard, BTI, and Jabberwocky. Riders in this clinic should be confident on their bike on trails but still may stop at moderate technical features. This group will be on longer riders with more elevation gain than Beginner 1 and 2 classes (up to 1500 feet of climbing).
