Bear Cubs get comfortable with a basic understanding of their bikes and the systems involved, including a complete mastery of braking and starting and stopping pedaling. This group is expected to understand information in a teaching setting more readily than the preschool group, and lessons are tailored to this difference. Bear Cubs may or may not ride on trails, with the goal being to teach riders the skills needed to practice to get ready for advancing to the Coyotes. While some may only ride on a dirt road, coaches strive to begin building the foundation to develop Cubs’ love for riding.
